Monkey D. Luffy
Age: 17
Rank: Captain
Founder of the Straw Hat Crew. Luffy plans to find the treasure that Gold Roger left behind. He must travel to the Grand Line, to search for One Piece. The treasure that will make him King of the Pirates. Luffy has a stretching power after eating the cursed fruit 'Gum Gum'. Even though he can stretch, the only thing he can't do is swim.
Roronoa Zoro
Age: 19
Rank: First Mate, Swordsman
Luffy's first mate. Second person to join Luffy's crew. Zoro practices the art of three swords. Two in his hands, and one in his mouth. He has a quest to become the world's best swordsman by beating the current swordsman, Mihawk. He promised to Kuina, his childhood friend, that either one of them would become the world's best swordsman. But, do to an accident, Kuina died. Now, Zoro has to fulfill his promise to her.
Nami
Age: 18
Rank: Navigator
Nami really doesn't like pirates. She was taken from her village by pirates and was forced to work as a navigator for them. From that day on, she despised pirates. When she met Luffy, she was wary but decided to join his crew. Nami was the first person to join his crew.
Sanji
Age: 19
Rank: Cook/Chef
Sanji is a cook who used to work for the restaurant Baratie, which is located in the middle of the East Blue Sea. Luffy accidentally blew up the side of the ship and had to serve as a chore boy for a year. There he met Sanji. Luffy asked him to join his crew and Sanji accepted after some second thoughts. Sanji was the last person to join.
Usopp
Age: 17
Rank: Gunner (by pure luck), Replacement Captain.
Usopp was a liar in his village before Luffy found him. Before, Usopp had already had a crew of his own, called the 'Veggies'. The Veggies consists of three boys who have nicknames of vegetables. Hence the name 'Veggies'. Usopp helped his friend, Miss Kaya, as he called her, escape from the murderous pirate disguised as her butler. Klahadore( the butler) had been posing as her butler for three years to gain her trust. After that, Usopp decided to join Luffy's crew.
Chopper Tony Tony
Age: 15
Rank: Doctor
Chopper Tony Tony is a reindeer. I have no idea how he joins the crew. All I know is that he lived in Drum Island.
Shanks "The Red Head Pirate"
Age:37
Shanks is Luffy's role model. Luffy once cut himself under the eye to prove how tough he was. Shanks accepted him into the crew and went out to celebrate. While they were at the bar, Luffy ate a fruit that was lying on the counter. What he ate was the cursed gum gum fruit. He didn't know what he ate but he soon find out. When he left the bar, he stormed out and Shanks grabbed his arm but instead of stopping him, the arm just stretched!
